Schools play a very vital role in fostering individual personality growth by providing a well structured environment for participation in extracurricular activities, social interaction and exposure to diverse ideas. These experiences equip students with skills like empathy, communication, logic and reasoning along with problem solving, critical thinking and time management. Through their engagement in various school clubs, sports and other activities gives them a much needed boost of confidence and a sense of identity which is very important in the developing years of students which shape their future. Additionally, schools inculcate values, morals, ethics and code of conduct by instilling traits like honesty, integrity and respect. Teaching as well as non teaching staff serve as a role models, inspirations and mentors who support the students through their thick and thin, and be the guiding light that helps them to reach their potential. In essence, schools play a multifaceted role in shaping individual personalities by supporting individuals, supporting different level of intellectual, social and emotional growth. Thus, schools play a vital role in shaping the over all personality and comprehensive development.
Financial year 2022, in India of every 100 children with in the age of primary education , 88.6 were enrolled in school. School help children to develop self discipline and management skills.
° Schools failing to focus on the individual personality growth :
• The conventional method of teaching and not any new ideas or development in the teaching style.
• Quality of the content ,where the students get.
• Lack of skill based education ,which lead to more unemployment rate.
• Lack of quality based teachers .
• In primary level the multiple teachers in one school year ,lead to analyze of student become fail.
Schools helping the personal growth of student :
• Teaching can help to develop personality and discipline in children.
• Academic and unacademic activities like arts and sports would improve their skills and boost character .
• Exams and ranking system can make a healthy competition in their life
Better changes to develop personality and skills in students :
• Personal mentors which help to get children personal attention ,and specific advice.
• Include skill oriented curriculum .
• Special programmes which give more attention to less mark ones. ∆ Eg:- VIJAYABERI Programme in Kerala school .
• Quality based teachers .
Schools are another world of children .The better implementation and education lead to form a better society and future through the ignited minds .
