Hello, nice question.
1) It is important to prioritise what is important for me. Facebook, Insta or any other sites either books, inspired history, innovative.
2) What I want to do in my life? I just want to do a study . But I don’t want to implement it in my real life. I just do study just for money making not for the innovation. Just focus on how I implement in my life what I studied in the books. For example, Accounting. You can make your daily expenses sheet Debit and credit sheet.
3) Utilities your time. First thing is currently if I am not follow or following by others there’s no loss but if I am fail iny exams or if you are not clear in basic concepts there is definitely impact on your life.
4) Spend specific time. Decide at What time I will spend time on social media as well as with friends. Don’t distract yourself. Because everyone have same time but you just don’t no how to utilise it in a proper way. Make a goal short and long term. Make plan accordingly and just follow it regerasely.
5) Don’t be confused. Don’t run behind the distraction. First ensure it is worth or not. What you learn from it. If you learn ask to yourself it is valuable or not. If it is valuable how you can implement it in your life.
6) Just follow the time deadline. If you not respect the time , time will not respect you. Give some time to you daily assignment worksheet as well as study . Follow it regularly.
7) Make yourself self discipline. Discipline is important for everyone. It is really good for your life. It makes you successful.
8) Use social media for education purpose rather than chatting and criticism and all negative. Stay away from all these negativity. It can be created productivity low. It can be impacted on your thoughts.
9) Always try to share your goals with your parents. They can definitely help you to achieve your goals.
It can be quite challenging to balance academic and social media life but not impossible. Here are few changes which helped me in maintaining a balance between academic and social media life.
It is important to set academics as your first priority, have a clear idea of your aim and work towards it. Even though missing out on social media can be challenging but understand it is only a distraction between you and your goals. The best way to optimise your time is allocate specific time for your studies, sports, social media and other activities and follow it religiously. If you wish to effectively follow time management then you can use various apps or planners to organize your activities (Pomodoro app worked best for me). You can even use social media productively by following educational stuff to learn new things.
The most crucial thing to reduce social media usage is to set time limits and track it, turn off notifications and do not overuse social media as it reduces concentration. You can give yourself some reward after your time usage reduces even by 10 minutes. You can engage in outdoor activities or socialize with people in between your study breaks by not using social media.
I hope these help you to maintain balance as it helped me and take small steps daily to become better.
In today’s world having a social media engagement is as important as academics, in many cases people do not judge you just by your knowledge but by how you present yourself on social media. It is a common challenge for today’s students to efficiently manage their academics as well as remain active on their social media accounts, so in my opinion, there are various approaches to manage both aspects effectively in students’ lives like
Following all these measures one can easily achieve a balance between both academic commitments and social media engagement. Students need to know that balancing between both aspects is the key to maximizing productivity and enjoying a fulfilling student experience.
