1. The eligibility criteria for adoption of child are

-The parents who want to adopt a child their age must be 25 year and more than 55 year old. The couple combined agr must be between 50 and 90 year.

– the gap between child and parents must be at least 21 years

-married couples and single individual can adopt a child but some rule can be vary for example, single male cannot adopt a girl child in some cases

– the parent must be physically and mentally healthy by confirming medical certificate they dont have any mental and physical serious illness this hinder their ability to care a child

– adoption authority must conduct a background check to ensure the parent environment is safe or not to raising a child

2. Major steps for legal adoption of child are

– providing details personal information such as birth certificate, marriage certificate and financial details like ITR.submiting medical report confirming their physical and metal health are okay

Once  registration, a unique registration number is issued to parents

After registration, authority should visit the parent home to ensure the save environment of child and cheak the living conditions of family and also interview their family ,friends and neighbours about the parents. This process take few weeks and results details home study

– checking child is able to go with the parents, or he does not face any problem.

-after the court approval and finalize From the juvenile justice board or family court adoption is completed.

3. Those children who needed special care and protection cannot be adopted. Those children have legally free from court can not be adopy

Violence against women  and education

Education play a vital role in preventing violence against women. Educated women are more aware of right, better knowing in sign of abuse and more confident in seeking help. Education empower women to make informed decisions, challenge abusive relationships and demand justice. Illiteracy and lack of education or awareness, limit access to information will harm women in more ways and every women should know their right equally.

This act aims to protect women  from domestic violence. This act defines domestic violence as physical and emotional damage to women. It clarify what is domestic and provide right to seek protection order, monetary relief and compensation.

During covid 19 lockdown, domestic violence increase dur to economic stress, access to support services, heightened tensions. Social isolation and loss of income lead to Abusive relationship.

 

Ethical dilemmas

The ethical dilemmas in this case include conflict professional ethics versus personal safety, truthfulness versus deception and accountability versus corruption. As the chairman of road quality inspection committer, I am between altering a file I am risking by integrity of refusing it I face potential threats and intimidation.

Option available

– I can accept the offer and alter the file which would compromise my Integrity and ethics.

– I can refuse the offer and submit true report and doesn’t compromise my integrity and ethics.

-I can resign to avoid to it but it would abandon my responsibility.

– report the incident to higher authorities

– seek support from colleagues, mentors

Pros and cons 

-By accepting the offer I get financial gain but compromise my integrity

– by refusing it I uphold by my integrity but increase the risk of threats

– by resigning I avoid my responsibility.

– reporting the incident uphold law and order but risk retaliation.

Best action

The best action is to refuse the bribe and submit truthful report. This holds ethics and integrity.

Conclusion

I am a public servent, my responsibility is to serve the public interest not my personal gain or interest.

1. The ethical dilemma i have faced is to save a girl from threat given by her family who is threathend by her own family due to intercaste marriage and as a police officer i want to save her from that on the other hand girls father who is my higher officer threatened me to not to save a girl of you do you will lose the Job.

2. In this situation I can save the girl without knowing the girls father. Someone life is more important and nowadays intercaste marriage can be acceptable and take that girl family some save place.

If her father find out i save her i am ready to loose a job because someone life is more important. Someone action can ruin the whole life her and her family.

3. I can save her from her father and take her and her family to somewhere safe without knowing others.

If her father find out i save her i might loose a job

If i handed girl in to her father her life become miserable and her husband family will be suffered lot of issues and because of this i get promoted and extra perk.
