India has truly been excellent in the terms of space exploration in recent few years. The name of India’s first ever mission to mars was named as “The Mars Orbiter Mission” (MOM) unofficially also known as Mangalyaan. It made India the first ever Asian country to reach to the mars and also the first nation to had attempted to do so. The Mangalyaan was launched on 5 November 2013 by Indian space research organization (ISRO) it started orbiting Mars on 24 September 2014. This was the firs ever Indian inter-planetary mission and India was the third country globally who made these projects after United states and Stated union.
Mangalyaan was launched from Satish Dhawan Space Center in Andhra Pradesh using Indian satellite called Polar Satellite Launch vehicle also known as PSLV at 5 November 2013. Launch window approximately lasted for 20 days and on 28 October 2013 it started. Mangalyaan spent about a month in Earths orbit before trans-Mars injection on 30November 2013. After 298 days on 24 September 2014 it was put into Mars orbit. The spacecraft was monitored from ISRO Telemetry, Tracking and Command Network in Bengaluru supported by Indian deep space network
In April 2022 when the spacecraft went on 7 hour long eclipse period we lost the connection with it as it was not designed to survive it therefore on 2 October 2022 ISRO declared it as dead
