2. Volunteer Your Time and Skills -Offer your time to tutor or mentor children and adults, helping them gain the skills and confidence needed for academic and professional success. Participate in or organize community projects such as clean-up drives, building initiatives, or local events that foster community spirit and improvement.
3. Educate yourself and others about poverty-related issues and advocate for policy changes at the local, state, or national level that address the root causes of poverty. Support and vote for candidates and policies that prioritize social justice, economic equality, and poverty reduction.
4. If you run a business or are in a position to influence hiring, prioritize employing local residents, especially those from underprivileged backgrounds.
5. Participate in or start a community garden to provide fresh produce and foster a sense of community.
6. Volunteer to conduct or support financial literacy workshops that teach budgeting, saving, and financial planning skills.
7. Contribute to scholarship funds or programs that support the education of underprivileged students.
