There can be a lot of methods that a school can implement to promote empathy and understanding among there students. Below I’ve listed a few such strategies –

Peer Mentoring and Buddy Systems : The first and the foremost thing we need to do is strengthening interpersonal relationships. Pairing older students with younger ones to foster a good environment of mentorship and creating supportive relationship will contribute a lot to the venture.

Classroom Discussions and Debates : Schools must encourage their students to take part in healthy debates, open discussions and respectful arguments so that students could share their various perspectives on different issues which will definitely enrich their understanding in numerous fields.

Social and Emotional Learning : By incorporating SEL into the curriculum students will get to know in depth about empathy, self-awareness, managing relationship and various other crucial things which will develop them as a person.

Diverse Literature and Media : Introducing students to diverse books, movies, and media that represent different communities, cultures, social norm, and others will enhance a student and shape them in a better way.

Inclusive School Environment : Creating an inclusive environment where diversity is celebrated. And, all the students are respected and equally valued. This diversity will reflect into shaping a brighter future and make the students more understanding and inclusive in their life.
