3. Strip cropping: Vast fields are divided into strips. Strips of grass are allowed between the crops to grow. It breaks the force of wind. This is called strip cropping.
4. Shelter Belts: Planting lines of trees for creating shelters also checks soil erosion. Such lines of trees are known as Shelter Belts. These shelter belts have greatly contributed to the stabilization of sand dunes and in stabilizing the desert in western India.
मृदा संरक्षण के तरीके:
1.समोच्च जुताई: समोच्च रेखाओं के साथ जुताई करके ढलानों से पानी के बहाव को रोका जा सकता है। इसे समोच्च जुताई कहते हैं। इसका अभ्यास पहाड़ियों पर किया जा सकता है।
2. सीढ़ीदार खेती: ढलानों में सीढ़ियाँ काटकर छत बनाई जा सकती है। मिट्टी के कटाव को रोकता है. यह प्रथा पश्चिमी और मध्य हिमालय में देखी जाती है।
3. पट्टीदार फसल: विशाल खेतों को पट्टियों में विभाजित किया जाता है। फसलों के बीच घास की पट्टियों को बढ़ने दिया जाता है। यह हवा के बल को तोड़ देता है। इसे स्ट्रिप क्रॉपिंग कहा जाता है।
4. आश्रय बेल्ट: आश्रय बनाने के लिए पेड़ों की पंक्तियाँ लगाने से मिट्टी का कटाव भी रुकता है। पेड़ों की ऐसी पंक्तियों को शेल्टर बेल्ट के नाम से जाना जाता है। इन आश्रय पट्टियों ने रेत के टीलों के स्थिरीकरण और पश्चिमी भारत में रेगिस्तान को स्थिर करने में बहुत योगदान दिया है।
