– Bal gangadhar tilak is known as lokmanya tilak. Birth 23 juley 1856 village chikhalgaon Dist– Ratnagiri

Tilak from the beginning felt that we should give importance to political reform than social reform. And on this account Tilak and Agarkar had a dispute and they separated and continued their work. When the Congress was formed in 1885, there were two groups, some people wanted to educate people first and some people wanted to get independence first.
There were two factions in Congress Jahal and Maval Tilak included in Jahal
Tilak always felt that it was very important for the country to be Swadeshi and his thoughts continued beyond 1917.
