In order to empower yourself, you have to face what’s holding you back and prioritize your personal growth. If you don’t make yourself a priority, you cannot expect anyone else to. See the role model like Arunima Sinha if she doesn’t prioritize herself and motivate herself she never climb Mount Everest.
As a woman I believe it is not only my need but also my duty to make sure I am empowered enough in a society like ours where women are constantly struggling for their rights . Empowerment is not something that lies only in major life changing decisions but in small everyday actions .
Starting with how I keep myself empowered or how I empower myself ,
Here are some of the actions that I practice to empower myself-
Moving forward to how I empower women around me , I would like to talk from the very ground level. Since my childhood I have been near to a lot of women and I have noticed how normalized it is in our society to neglect women’s needs . Women themselves often forget that they are humans too and that their opinions and needs matter. For instance I recently watched LAAPATA LADIES , a movie that perfectly explains the concept of women empowerment. In a scene where the lady of the house tells the lead character Jaya that she likes a certain dish and says she does not make it often as everybody else in the house, especially the male, dislike it. On this Jaya says “but if you like it , why don’t you make it for yourself?” and this is where the lady realizes that her likes and dislikes too matter . This scene depicts how little things that have settled deep down in women’s hearts needs to be empowered in order to empower the women . So some ways in which I empower women near me are –
Empowering myself helps me to be confident and living life on my own terms whereas empowering the women around me , I create a strong sense of resilience and collective success.
In conclusion i would just suggest all the women out there to be the voice of their own and always rise and shine.
Empowering yourself and the women around you means taking real steps and being genuinely supportive.
You can start by encouraging the girls in your life to pursue their education and career dreams. This could mean helping with homework, sharing useful resources, or celebrating their achievements to boost their confidence.
At school or at part-time jobs, you can advocate for fair treatment and equal opportunities. Speaking up against unfairness and supporting policies like flexible schedules for students with additional responsibilities is important.
Creating a positive environment where girls feel respected is crucial. Challenging stereotypes and standing up against sexist jokes or comments can make a big difference.
Encouraging your female friends to take on leadership roles, like club presidents or team captains, and celebrating their successes helps build their confidence.
Sharing resources like empowering books, articles, and workshops can also be beneficial. Connecting them with clubs or online communities that offer support and opportunities is another great idea.
Being an ally by listening to the experiences of the girls around you and offering support. Using your social media to amplify their voices and share their stories can be powerful.
Promoting financial independence is important too. Sharing tips on saving money and supporting friends who are starting small businesses by promoting their work is a great way to help.
Getting them involved in community initiatives like volunteering for organisations focused on women’s empowerment can also give them a sense of belonging.
Lastly, you can model respectful behavior, challenge gender norms, and advocate for equality in my everyday actions.
Empowering women is about creating an inclusive environment where they can thrive and reach their full potential.
Women empowerment first you have to make yourself your priority give yourself importance and respect. When you start giving yourself a priority you feel more confident and that time you will not fear of challenges. As empowering other women you can motivate your friends your mom and any other women who need motivation in her life. I belive when you start encouraging them you will feel also more confident towards yourself. Know your rights that there is no one who stop you to achieve your dreams , so you have rights and go achive dreams. whatever you dream of like getting a job, start a business or buy a house. The women we know like Arunima Sinha if she don’t belive herself she never achive her dream to climb a mount everest . So believe yourself and know your worth.
In the pursuit of empowering myself and the women within my sphere, a comprehensive approach is applied, focusing on education, mentorship, and advocacy. I pursue continuous knowledge and skills enhancement through professional courses and industry certifications, thereby maintaining a leading edge in my field, elevating my confidence, and establishing a standard for others. In my interactions with female colleagues and associates, networking and collaboration are consistently underscored. Through the establishment of support groups and professional networks, resources, opportunities, and guidance are shared, thereby fostering an environment conducive to mutual growth.
Mentorship serves as a vital instrument in the empowerment paradigm. Actively mentoring young women includes providing guidance and sharing experiences, particularly in navigating challenges within male-dominated industries. This mentorship extends to offering practical counsel on work-life balance, negotiation capacity, and leadership development. Advocacy stands as another crucial element. Championing policies conducive to gender equality, such as equitable remuneration and flexible work hours, is a priority. Remaining informed about recent milestones, such as the 2023 landmark decision by the European Union to mandate gender quotas on company boards, enables the advocacy for analogous initiatives at the local level. By amalgamating personal development, community support, and proactive advocacy, an environment is fostered in which women are empowered to realize their highest potential.
A section of the world is susceptible to change when a person’s mindset develops and shifts towards equality.
I firmly believe that a woman can only become an inspiration if she possesses self-empowering beliefs. I empower myself by emphasising on what do enjoy working and keeping up with the times. Having specific goals for both my career and personal life helps me stay motivated and focused. Additionally, taking care of my health and mind by scheduling time for hobbies, exercise, and meditation, among other things, to inspire women around me by setting a good example, being transparent about my experiences, and sharing my own. mentoring young women or girls in college by providing them with direction and support as they achieve their goals. I take an active part in community conversations and back programmes that advance women’s rights and gender equality. Building a community of support and networking with other women are crucial because they enable us to exchange resources, counsel, and words of encouragement. I support an environment of respect and empowerment for women by standing up for their rights and establishing forums where they can express their thoughts.
Crucial actions include pushing social conventions that restrict women’s potential and supporting women in leadership positions.
“Each time a woman stands for herself, she stands for all women”.

In my opinion the best way to make women empower is through education. Education is the one and only method by which women will feel confident and empowered. Being educated not only make you confident but also independent. Whether it’s emotionally or financially. If a women is educated and smart she doesn’t have to ask anything from anyone. Often women are supposed to be in home and be utterly dependant on their husband but if a women is educated, she is make her own money. She can work from home or even do night shifts for that matter showing equality.
Also, I would like to add here the strength. Women are far more powerful than men and can handle the pain of menstruation as well as pregnancy. So we need to give a each other a reminder about our strength. There is a devine energy inside a women’s body, she is a combination of dark and light feminine energies. I believe we women, we should never forget about our powers that what we are capable of doing. Just like durga and kali we’re capable of immense love as well as immense destruction at the same time.
I will try to empower women by giving some of the famous examples who have proved themselves like savitribai phule who started the school for girl child , Sunita villiam , kalpana chawla who were the astronauts and try to provoke their motivation and make them inspire and also similarly i will motivate myself
Empowerment begins with self-belief and action. For myself, I embrace lifelong learning, continuously seeking knowledge and skills to stay ahead. I set goals, break them into achievable steps, and celebrate small victories. By cultivating a positive mindset and surrounding myself with supportive individuals, I reinforce my own strength and resilience.
To empower women around me, I actively challenge stereotypes and advocate for equality, by being a part of two organizations (GirlUp RAWshni, a UN based initiative promoting Gender equality and Gender Sensitization Cell in the college) that challenge gender based discrimination and stereotypes. I mentor young women, offering guidance and sharing experiences to help them grow their careers and personal lives.
In India, gender equality remains a significant challenge, but collective efforts can drive change. Promoting education for girls, encouraging women’s participation in the workforce, and advocating for policy reforms are crucial steps. By raising awareness and engaging in open conversations about gender biases, we can shift societal attitudes.
Empowerment is about creating a ripple effect—when one woman rises, she lifts others with her. Together, we can build a more inclusive and equitable society where every woman has the opportunity to realize her full potential.
