Responsibility of Beliefs: Kennedy stresses that exhibiting tolerance does not require sacrificing one’s personal convictions. This emphasises how important it is to accept the opinions of others while maintaining your own strong beliefs.
Injustice Condemnation: Acceptance actively resists intolerance and injustice of others. This idea is consistent with equality and fairness, two fundamental constitutional ideals.
Cultural diversity and Pluralism:In a country as diverse as India, where many languages, faiths, and cultural traditions coexist, tolerance is essential. Encouraging tolerance contributes to the preservation of national unity and social harmony.
Human Rights: The denunciation of persecution is interwoven with the larger argument on human rights. A society with democracy must uphold justice and safeguard individual liberties.
