Characteristics of demographic – democracy is a state run by the people for the people. It means that the people have the right to choose their representative .

Background – First,when india be came independent , Loksabha and Rajysabha election were combined. And so the election combined election continue after 1967.

In the year 1968 to 1969 , due to dissolution of some state assemblies, the practice of holding such election stopped. Combined election were held from 1951 to 1967.

CONCEPT-  in 2014 chief minister of Gujarat and now the prime ministerial ” mr narendra modi ” brought forward the concept of “one nation one election” The purpose of this was to avoid wastage of money.

Opinion of law commission -prepared report in 2018. And gave following recommended

1) the constitution and representative of people act should be amended.

2) Loksabha and vidhansbha should be in specific period.

CONCLUSIONS OF LAW COMMISSION –

*  watage of money will reduces.

* The stress on administrative and security will be reduced.

RESULT –  on 2 September 2023, Central gvt.constituted  a commitee under the Chairmanship of ” former president mr. Ramnath kovind” to examine the feasibility of Combined election.

ROLE OF CENTRAL GVT.AND ELECTION COMMISSION –

Going to seek the Opinion of people And sence election commission has also the accepted plan.

WHAT WILL BE RESULT –

Mr.kovind commitee has that “one county one election” will be implemented from “2029”.

GOVERNMENT RESPONSIBILTY ABOUT PEOPLE –

1) India has As India has different states and languages, its problems are different. If one country has one election, it can be difficult to solve the problem. Because in some states, due to territorial reasons, it is necessary to dissolve the assembly early and have another election, and this is stated in the constitution.
