To identify the top-selling product categories across different seasons and understand the influencing factors, begin by categorizing purchase data based on seasons using the purchase history, category, price, date and statistics provided by the company. For each seasons like Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter we can collect all the sales data by product category to determine total revenue and to calculate the revenue we can use the formula (Revenue = Sales x Average Price of Service or Sales Price).
Visualize the trends using graphs/charts to get know which categories are top in each season. Then we can analyze customer demographics/statistics to know patterns by their preferences such as age, gender or income level and how these factors will impact the sales in each season.
By seasons to seasons assess the sales data and by the assessment we should decide the pricing and promotional activities. And keep a consistent tracking of sales data and plan properly or predictive modelling, so that the product gets into the trend with change of seasons and utilize time for modelling the products properly to forecast future sales trend.
