Pressure and stress are the two vital facets of the life. Being an emotionally intelligent person with knowing the art of regulating emotions has always helped me fight the worst pressure and stress in my life.
To fight stress and pressure:
1) I have always “ANALYSED AND ACCEPTED” the situation first.
2) After sensing the pressure and stress, I have always compartmentalised them in categories according to their severity and worked accordingly. Staying aware and accepting plays the key role here.
3) I have always trained my mind to calm down (eg. long breathing 10 times and think rationally in such times.) Being anxious and highly emotional will never give us the right directions to proceed.
4) I have always took stress and pressure as a challenge and oppurtunity to give best results rather than considering them as impediments to reach my goal.
5) Given situations are out of my reach, I do not hesitate to ask for elderly or experienced advice and seek help to fight the situation.
6) I have learned from my life experiences that one can’t be devoid of stress and pressure. You have to learn to live with them and navigating them in order to reach your goal.
Stress and pressure hence can be the opportunities to level up your potential and emerge stronger mentally and emotionally as a person.
Stress and Pressure are like two companions of our problems which we create by not accepting the situation and finding a solution. Rather we think too much and get stressed along with the pressure of tackling it.
For me, as an emotional person I tend to get stressed easily in situations but I have developed a mantra which helps me to keep calm and think before I react. The mantra is “The world is not ending now and I am a strong person to face it”. I take time to understand, analyse and then react on it.
Pressure always brings stress because a human mind focuses more on negative thoughts than positive. We certainly focus more on how will we able to complete it rather than what is need to be done by now. To tackle such situation, I focus on first my breathing as it relaxes our mind and then thinking of the positive outcome after completing the work. It is like a force which drives me to complete it with positive results.
Finally, stress and pressure are like two annoying children which always stays with us but we can sideline them by not giving them necessary attention which they require.
