In my view, social media is an incredible tool for educators to effectively impart education to students on a larger scale. I will illustrate this with several examples.
For instance, imagine students are on study leave preparing for exams next week. If a teacher wants to highlight important topics for revision, she can simply create a brief message and share it in a dedicated social media group or forum established for such discussions.
In another scenario, suppose a teacher is attending a session on a specific topic by an expert and wishes her students could also benefit from it, but cannot bring them along. In such cases, she can conduct a live session and invite all her students in the group to join and watch it live.
Now, consider a complex topic that students are finding difficult to grasp. Here, the teacher can simplify the topic by breaking it down into smaller sections and using visual aids such as pictorial representations. Images help students absorb information more effectively than plain text, enhancing their retention and making the topic easier to comprehend and learn.
Other than this if the teacher wants to give some notes to the students she can create graphic pins to make the notes interactive and engaging.
