1)Traditional gender roles- are a constraint in the development of women as an individual. Women’s are always expected to do all the household work and get less time and energy to focus on their careers .
2) Societal norms – societal norms like women’s shouldn’t go out to work and look after their family and children are often a constraint in women’s individual choices.
3) Safety issue – women’s often face harrasment at their work places, travelling in public buses and late night working in offices make family members worried about the safety of women of their families.
4) Economic factors – Norms such as men should be the breadwinners of the family give men more chances to become financially independent as compared to women . Women are not given the priority to learn and earn .
5) Educational factors – Traditional roles can influence family to not send their daughters out for studies and can often influence women’s choices to pursue their own field of interest.
