For each one of us, to handle climate change properly, we need to adopt daily rituals that are good for the environment. Begin by making your home energy efficient – use power saving appliances, put off lights when you leave the room and open windows for natural light and fresh air. Save water by fixing leaks promptly and reduce its consumption by having shorter showers. If possible, consider public transportation or carpooling or opt for an electric vehicle to minimize carbon emission.
Another major step is eating sustainably. Try as much as possible to lower meat consumption especially beef and lamb which have a huge environmental impact. Where possible, buy locally produced organic food which is healthier and more environmentally friendly too. Waste can also be minimized through recycling. Moreover, we should avoid throwing of non-bio degradable materials such as plastic etc. Also, Do join NGO’s which are dedicated to reforesting and aim for a much better environment.
To make a more extensive effect, it is important to support renewable energy initiatives as well as advocate for policies that promote clean energy sources. Taking your time to learn about climate related problems and enlightening others while at the same time urging your society to participate can cause reverberations of beneficial developments. Truly, you are doing more than simply shrinking the amount of carbon that you release into the atmosphere; rather, you are helping construct a better future for everyone.
