We all are aware of the fact that flash floods possess a significant threat to communities in low lying areas of India. The reasons for the frequent occurrence of flash flood in the country are:
1)Deforestation -Increase in deforestation becomes a major reason for flash floods.. Trees plays a major role in absorbing rain water which reduces flash floods to a certain point.
2)Heavy Rainfall : Heavy rainfall also becomes a major reason for flashfloods as in India during monsoon season ,heavy rainfall occurs which blocks the drainage system and eventually leads to flash floods.
There are even other reasons for flash floods such as heavy infrastructure development, poor flash flood management and so on. Flash flood being a very severe huge disaster causes a severe impact on the lives of people ,animals or any other living being. It also causes harm to the nature.
It damages homes and buildings, psychological impact on people’s mind ,loss of life, cause soil erosion and many more .impacts..
