This elaborates four major issues hampering the sustainability of digital preservation within cultural heritage institutions : digitalization , meta data index , intellectual property rights management and business models . Intangible cultural heritage(ICH)is very delicate and vital in sustaining cultural diversity in the fast changing modern era .ICH consists of art, expression ,drama, acting, literature, language ,martial arts , livelihood cultures , arts , food habits, traditional practices ,folktale, folksong , folklore ,folkdance, oral records etc. The challenges of intangible heritage include the narrowing down of its living space due to emphasis on material worship in society. In Africa, the defination of heritage as a tourism asset is often focused on tangible elements , while intangible heritage , such as music, dance and language is the norm. Intangible cultural heritage , transmitted from generation to generation, is constantly recreated by communities and groups , and provides them with a sense of identity and continuity , thus promoting respect for cultural diversity and human creativity. By converting physical documents into digital files , you can reduce the need of physical storage space, which can save your money on storage costs and free up valuable office space for other use.
