5.Mentoring: Guidance from field leaders which includes advice or support.
6.Career guidance: Services and tools which assist learners in exploring careers paths and matching their interests with possible careers.

Improving educational system so that the youth can easily obtain stable employment after completing a basic degree requires multifaceted approach. For this, education must be aligned with industrial needs. Listed below are several strategies to achieve this goal:
Developing an educational system that ensures youth are employable upon graduation involves a comprehensive strategy that integrates practical skills, industrial alignment, focus on soft skills and career guidance.
Youth is the strength of a country. Is the current education system effective enough to provide the youth with a good employment opportunity? The answer would be no. Even after the government has deployed various skill enhancement programs, most university guidelines are not flexible enough for students to handle both the skill development programs and their studies. National reports suggest that most engineering students in India are not employable. This occurs because every student is studying their syllabus clearly, but most of them don’t know how to apply it. Only those who know how to implement the concepts are selected by companies.
Over the years, our government has provided skill development programs through vocational higher secondary schools and job-based courses in industrial training institutes. But undergraduate students are not getting many opportunities, thereby lacking industry-relevant skills.
The government has to ensure proper implementation of the skill development programs and increase more opportunities for college students, which can go along with their day-to-day study schedules. Unemployment is a big problem we are facing today as a nation. Proper plans should be introduced to eradicate unemployment. Various industry relevant skills are to be trained to college students.
In order to make our youth eligible for stable job opportunities, our educational system must follow the following points given below:
1. Change in Curriculum: Educational system must include industry-relevant skills and practical training into the curriculum. Courses should be updated regularly based on new demands evolving in the market.
2. Skill Development: Along with the theoretical knowledge, educational system should also put equal efforts on vocational training and skill development programs for overall developments of students.
3. Sharpening Soft Skills: Soft skills such as communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and critical thinking also plays a vital role when it comes to job opportunities for an individual.
4. Entrepreneurship: Entrepreneurship education is also given to students during their academic sessions so that students become enable to create their own opportunities rather than only being dependent on job markets.
5. Career Counselling: Career counselling also plays a vital role for job opportunities of a student as many students even do not know a lot about their interest and remain confused in selecting the field of their interest during their career building time.
So, these are some steps that educational system should take to make the youth eligible for job opportunities after the completion of basic degree.
Our educational system needs a thoughtful redesign to ensure that young people are well prepared for stable employment after completing their degrees. This involves aligning education with industry demands, providing practical experience, and fostering essential soft skills, we can focus on a few key areas:
1. Update Courses: Work with industry experts to keep the curriculum current so students learn skills that are in demand.
2. Hands-On Experience: Include internships and practical training in every program so students gain real-world experience before graduation.
3. Teach Soft Skills: Focus on developing important soft skills like communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and flexibility, which are crucial for job success.
4. Career Support: Offer strong career counseling to help students understand their strengths, explore different careers, and navigate the job market.
5. Encourage Entrepreneurship: Teach entrepreneurship to inspire innovative thinking and self-employment, creating more job opportunities.
6. Partner with Employers: Build strong connections with businesses to help with job placements and ensure training programs meet industry needs.
7. Promote Lifelong Learning: Encourage ongoing education and upskilling to help graduates stay relevant in their fields as the job market evolves.
Focusing on these areas can better prepare students for stable, fulfilling careers and close the gap between education and employment.
