The main objective of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012, is to safeguard children against sexual abuse and exploitation.
The main objective of enacting Protection of Children from Sexual Offence (POCSO) act, 2012 is : to protect the children from offences of sexual assault, sexual harassment and pornography and to facilitate adequate legal machinery by establishing special courts for trial of such offences and matters incidental connected with child sexual abuse crimes.
