The revolutionary freedom movement in 20th century India developed through key phases. Initially, it began with the formation of groups like the Ghadar Party and the Hindustan Socialist Republican Association (HSRA), advocating for armed struggle. Leaders such as Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev, and Rajguru emerged, promoting revolutionary ideas through propaganda and actions, including the assassination of British officials. The 1920s and 1930s saw intensified activities, with notable events like the Kakori Train Robbery and the Lahore Conspiracy Case. The movement inspired a broader nationalist sentiment and contributed to the eventual independence struggle, influencing mainstream politics and leading to significant social changes.
