Three Modes of Heat Transfer

Heat transfer occurs in three main ways: conduction, convection, and radiation.

1. Conduction

• Description: This is the transfer of heat through direct contact between materials.

2. Convection

• Description: This involves the movement of fluids (liquids or gases) where warmer parts rise and cooler parts sink.

3. Radiation
