The Razakars, a paramilitary group loyal to the Nizam of Hyderabad, fiercely opposed the accession to the Indian Union. They aimed to maintain Hyderabad’s independence through violent means, instigating communal tensions and resistance against Indian integration, ultimately leading to significant conflict and the need for military intervention in 1948.
