How to increase speed and accuracy for the CAT exam?

I have decent accuracy but I lack in terms of speed. How can I increase my speed along with maintaining the accuracy 90+?

    There are multiple ways to improve your speed and accuracy for the CAT exam that can be applied to competitive exams as well.

    1. To start with, maintain a structured study schedule that allocates dedicated time for each section of the exam, focusing on both speed drills and accuracy-building exercises.
    2. Practice previous years’ CAT papers under timed conditions. This will help you get accustomed to the exam format and improve your time management skills
    3. Identifying the key information in the question quickly eliminating the obvious incorrect choices, and utilizing shortcuts in quantitative and verbal reasoning sections can show significant progress in your speed.
    4. Lastly, take a lot of mock tests before the exam as this will help you be calm during the exam as you will know you have practiced well and it will also help you pinpoint the areas that are affecting your speed the most

    To increase the speed of solving the problem :

    1. A few problems can be solved using mental calculation ex: maths. Practice mental math at home by keeping the timer. As you practice in a short time , it can be done in a shorter time and also it gives accuracy.
    2. Read the questions, and paragraphs fast.

     

    To increase the accuracy of the problem-solving:

    1. Strengthen your fundamentals – Focus on basics, a strong foundation helps to solve quickly and accurately.

    4. Revision – revise concepts and formulas regularly.
