- Land Use Efficiency: Promoting compact development in the urban areas is achieved through strong systems of transit, thereby minimizing long trips.
- Economic Benefits: Public transportation investments increase accessibility to work opportunities and services, thereby boosting local economies by creating economic development in these regions.
