    International Relation is a very charismatic subject in UPSC General Studied Paper 2nd. It must be handled with a really boastful content blended with knowledge. Fetching marks in this subject can be hard, but one can grab a good amount of marks if he has a keen eye on current affairs.

    Following are some tips to grasp the information related to IR :-

    1. Know the syllabus :- You have seen people who are studying very much out of syllabus portion which are not in the trend. The very first tip is remember the syllabus keeping an eye on the trending questions of UPSC. This will make you conquer 10% of the syllabus.
    2. Mindful Notes:- UPSC is a huge hurdle for those who doesn’t cares about Current affairs, specifically in IR. IR becomes really interested if one makes notes after reading in Newspapers. It makes you revisit the event mindfully.
    3. Maps:- One must have a good command, both pictorial and learning based parts of World and Indian Maps. Capitals, rivers, lakes, mountains, Honoured members which are in the CA. This way you can also make marks grabbing content

    Revision:- Revision is must for every exam. If someone want to ace it, revision is very important as considering name,  special keywords and special events.

    Most important topics which u must not avoid are –

    •  In ancient history – Indus Valley civilization, Vedic society, Buddhism and Jainism, Mauryan empire (pre to post), Sangam Age, Reigns after Mauryan empire.
    • In Medieval History – Arabs in sindh, Islam and Sufism, Changes in Art and culture, literature, Delhi sultanate and it’s contemporary empires, post Delhi sultanate, Monotheistic movements, Mughal empire, Maratha Empire.
    • In Modern History – Europe in India, British conquests , all events from mid 17th century to present like – reform movements, 1857 Revolt, nationalism, movement for independence and freedom, Condition in Post Independent India, etc.
