Yet, effectively leveraging this cultural wealth into a unified soft power approach necessitates more than simply relying on tradition. India’s soft power strategy must tackle modern-day challenges, including advancements in technology, education, and global health initiatives. Projects like the International Solar Alliance and the Ayushman Bharat scheme exemplify India’s capacity to take charge in areas of sustainable development and healthcare. Nonetheless, hurdles such as internal social conflicts, economic inequalities, and geopolitical strains could jeopardize these endeavors. For India to genuinely achieve the status of a ‘Vishwa Guru,’ it must not only highlight its cultural and historical attributes but also showcase its ability to lead in confronting global issues and promoting inclusive growth.
