Recently there has been a shift from traditional teaching methods to innovative approaches that aim to promote student engagement and enhance their learning as well as their productivity. unlike the past traditional methods which used to follow rote learning, it aims at practical learning which gives knowledge and skills to students by working on real-world projects, it requires them to think critically, be creative, and out of the box. It helps them to foster a deeper connection with their work and gives them a chance to develop their skills such as teamwork, communication, problem-solving, and professional ethics which are required the most in today’s workforce.
Peer learning is another innovative approach to engage students as it provides a platform for them to learn with other classmates, where they can openly put forward their ideas, listen to other opinions, and engage in meaningful conversations instead of jotting down from the board or listening to lectures.
Another way can be to make them engage in some fun activities like debates, quizzes, hands-on demonstrations, educational games, brainstorming sessions, reflective journals, or field trips this will make the class more interesting and engaging, also we all know technology plays a very crucial role in every field, it can also be useful for engaging students with the help of educational apps, virtual reality(VR), which can provide them a wealth of information, resources and they can explore topics in great depth. These approaches make learning more relevant, interactive, personalized, and also address the diverse needs and preferences of students, fostering greater engagement and enthusiasm in learning.
