1. Gender Bias- Women often encounter stereotypes and biases that undermine their leadership abilities. The stereotypes such as women being weak and sensitive affect the mindset of the corporate workers which is a drawback for a women while working and leading.
2. Work-Life Balance Challenges- Balancing work and family responsibilities can be particularly challenging for women, often leading to them opting out of or being overlooked for leadership roles. A women has the responsibility to run a household along with looking after children and other family members. With this, it becomes hard for a women to work efficiently in professional front.

Impact of gender bias on women’s empowerment in India:
Gender bias refers to the discrimination practices being followed to restrict women’s freedom in various fields. These practices are predominant in rural areas of India. Gender bias in India is hindering women’s empowerment across various domains.
Discrimination is preventing women from there basic rights such as education, freedom to live, freedom to make their own decisions. Discriminatory practices includes child marriages, dowry enforcement which is creating inequalities between Men and Women groups. Gender bias is spreading rifts and negativity economically, socially and politically.
Economically, it’s creating wage gaps among men and women earnings which leads women to low-income sectors which in turn is damaging women’s financial independence.
Socially it is leading to harmful practices like female infanticide, Self respect killings, impacting women’s both physical and mental health. This is also contributing to a culture of violence based biases.
Politically, gender bias is suppressing women’s right to speak, right to vote and right to make decisions in political affairs.
Additionally strategies like educational empowerment, economic, social and political affairs to address deep roots and provide gender equality can be helpful to prevent gender bias which in turn helps in national development.
