Some of the aspects of mental processes and social interactions in human cognition and behaviour that must be replicated by AGI include the following: First, one fundamental characteristic of this type of learning has to do with the capacity that AGI may learn as a man learns through experience. This includes not only pattern recognition and understanding but also generalizing beyond what is learned to new situations. Most probably, AGI will have to demonstrate reasoning and problem-solving capabilities that empower it to make decisions, plan activities, and adjust strategies in front of any complex and dynamic environment.
Another critical aspect is emotional intelligence: understanding and responding to human emotions, empathy, and the capability for effective social navigation. This shall enable AGI to effectively communicate with man and build up cooperation founded on trust. Conversely, AGI has to be as creative and innovative as human beings—that is, having the capacity to come up with new ideas and solutions by going out of the box.
