It is not a parents vs children fight.
Emotional intelligence from both parties can be exemplified by understanding where each person is coming from. A difference in opinion between a parent and their child is very common. A peaceful resolution to the conflict is the true sign of respect between not only a parent and their children but also among humans altogether. Through emotional intelligence, we can generate self-awareness among ourselves and know each other on a whole new level. Of course, there will be respect between a child and the parent, not to mention love, but we would understand our shortcomings. Our dynamics will go up a notch or two and the lines of communication will open up even more.
