Technology is revolutionizing education by offering personalized learning, accessible resources, and engaging content. Students can learn at their own pace, access a vast knowledge base online, and benefit from interactive tools. However, excessive screen time, digital distractions, and the digital divide can hinder learning. Additionally, there’s a risk of overreliance on technology, potentially reducing human interaction and critical thinking skills. Striking a balance between traditional and technological approaches is crucial for effective education.

NEP 2020 aims for equitable education, but its implementation faces significant hurdles. Regional disparities in resources create uneven access to quality infrastructure, libraries, and digital tools, hindering students’ learning potential. The existing educational infrastructure may not be equipped to handle the policy’s focus on experiential learning and holistic development. A crucial challenge lies in training teachers to adopt new pedagogies and assess students holistically. The vast diversity of India’s socioeconomic contexts demands tailored approaches, which requires substantial capacity building. Overcoming these challenges is essential for NEP 2020 to truly deliver equitable education for all.
