Education is a basic human right (fundamental right – Article 21). The main aim of this fundamental right is to provide primary education to children between 6 to 14 years. Education helps in gaining knowledge, lifting people out of poverty, providing equal status to all, and ensuring sustainable development. It opens new avenues for development and maintains unity, harmony, and peace among different cultural and ethnic groups.
There are many reasons for education not reaching everyone, which need attention. In villages, lack of awareness about education, poverty, and early marriages prevent people from studying. The biggest reason is inadequate government funding for education. In many areas, there are either no schools or insufficient classrooms and teachers. Many children do not attend school due to disability, mental pressure, and poor health. Additionally, gender inequality and discrimination continue to deprive children of education.
To address these issues, there should be increased awareness about the importance of education. We should advocate for policies that make education accessible to all, provide equality, and do not discriminate based on gender. It’s essential to bring together different communities that support education and provide opportunities. Encouraging government schemes that prioritize education and supporting organizations that collect funds for education is crucial. We must also leverage technology to reach more students and support new digital platforms that provide education. Promoting partnerships among governments, NGOs, private sectors, and communities fosters sustainable development.
By working together and spreading awareness among people, we can contribute towards creating equality, unity, and an educated society.
