“Girls education” In male dominated countries like India their are so many challenges in promoting girls education. An educated girl can be used like a weapon in ending of poverty. An educated girl can be beneficial for an individual, families and society. They can manage home, workplace, childrens, business everything but their are some challenges which can occur while promoting girls education they are as under:

• POVERTY :  poverty is the major reason which is why girls are not enrolled in education and are forced to stay at home and do household works
• DISCRIMINATION: due to gender discrimination girls are facing problems in education as we are living in a male dominated society where males are given first preference, due to poverty also they are not allowed.
• MARRIAGE:due to early marriage they are not able to get educated as they get responsibilities of their family, childrens and so on that’s why they are not able to engaged in studies.
• CHILD LABOUR: because of poverty they have to get employed at an early age which is why they are not able to engaged in studies.

There are some opportunities by which we can promote girls education in India,they are as under:

• Compulsory education upto 18 years of age.
• Appointment of qualified female teachers.
• Provide scholarships to students
• Provide residential and transportation facilities to students
• Discussion of financial burden of schools with state and central government
• Providing clean water, sanitation and health facilities

• Beti bachao beti padhao scheme
• Kasturba Gandhi Balika vidyalaya
• Sukanya samriddhi yojana
• National means cum merit scholarship
• National girl child day, and so on.
