Wars can bring out some of humanity’s worst traits – violence, cruelty, tribalism, and a desire for destruction. They highlight our ability to dehumanize others and inflict immense suffering.
However, wars also often showcase human courage, sacrifice, and heroism. Many people risk or give their lives to protect others or fight against oppression.
Humans are very complex beings and their values are often what drives their decision-making. I personally feel that if humans are capable of immense harm and destruction, they are also capable of showing the most purest form of kindness, love and belonging that there is. True nature is ultimately what the individual person chooses to feed and express.
