Yes, music is peace, and it does heal a person. I feel this because of my experience. So, when I have a very hectic day at college and I am just my way back towards home, I always listen to music and it comforts me, just blows out all the tiredness from my mind, additionally relaxes my body throughout travelling (but this happens only when I have a seat in the bus!). Jokes apart, music really soothes a person. Music is related to every aspect of life, and when we play the right track on the time, we just feel peace out of it.
Just similar to peace, music is also related with healing. I explored this feeling of healing, when I was roaming with a burden of nothingness. I myself is a practitioner of music, and I am practicing on piano since past three years, but never get the result I wanted. Suddenly in a dark night, I was crying thinking about life, with so many questions, that, what will be my future? What am I doing? Am I wasting my days on it?………And just a few minutes later, I listened to ‘Sufi Music’ (it’s a genre of music, which has strong lyricism in it, and a core strength of voice with a sense of spirituality and devotion). Slowly I started understanding the meaning of the verse, I started disconnecting from the negative energy around me and silenced all those negative thoughts coming out. At the ending part of the song, I cried out and when the song stopped, I held my chin up, looked up just as I am seeing God or praising it, kept my hand on the chest and said “Believe, believe in yourself and you will make it some day!” Actually, I believed that this is the power of music, which gave me the strength to get up again. And I still follow this, whenever I feel I am stuck in life.

When I want to reflect or think deeply, I turn to classical music, especially pieces by composers like Bach or Debussy, as their intricate compositions and serene melodies create a contemplative atmosphere.
