Primary source of air pollution

1. Industrial processes 

• Factories release various hazardeous and poisonous gasses like SO2, NO, NO2 ,etc. That causes harmful effect in the air.
• Power plants burn fossil fuels which causes an immesnse emmision of gases like CO2, SO2, PM.

2. Agricultural activities

• Extreme use of fertilisers release immense amount of poisionous gas NH3 (ammonia).
• Post harvest crops are burnt realsing CO2, SO2 and PM.
• Excessive emission of NH3 and CH4 during livestock farming.

3. Natural sources

• Volcanic activities
• Wild fires
• Land slides

4. Construction activities

• Realease of large amount of dust in the air
• Release harmful gases from various equipments used in construction.

5. Vehicles

• Vehicles release large amount of methane, CO2, etc gades that are very harmful for the enviornmemt

Ways to reduce Air pollution

There are various ways to reduce air pollution-

• Ban on crop burning.
• Try carpooling
• Public awareness may reduce the risk of various air pollution aspects
• Creating green spaces, clubs and commutnities for the future generation
• Plant trees and saplings for better air index
• Keep record of AIQ in order to have a systematic plan on the reduction of air pollution
• Use clean cooking solutions
• Prefer organic farming
• Promote public transport use
