the short answer is yes.

and the long one is that countries like India with their space program ISRO have already used this method for their space ships to launch them further in space.

as we know ISRO functions on a fraction of budget compared to giants like NASA we have to find new and innovative ways to make our rockets cheaper.

when launching a spacecraft further in space one of the most laborious task is to design a powerful engine which can lift of heavy weights off the earths gravitational force, but this creates a paradox, if you build more powerful engine it gets heavier, so to lift this extra weight u need an even more powerful engine, but this new engine will be even heavier.

so in order to solve this problem ISRO used earths gravity to escape earth gravity, the encircled earth like a satellite and using a catapult like system they thrusted the space shuttle out of earths gravity and into the space to reach mars(the mangalyan)

in the India of today promoting girls education involves various challenges but when these challenges are overcome there lies a  vast ocean of opportunities.

challenges:

1. norms of culture and society: in rural India even today boys are preferred over girls and that leads to obstruction in a girls education as some families don’t have enough money to teach every one of their child and they have to chose.
2. safety: every other day we hear news of wrongdoings with girls not only in less developed areas but in major cities too.

opportunities:

1. half the workforce: as soon as we integrate woman in the workforce we will be functioning at 100 percent as an economy as every single able person of our nation will be participating directly in the economy.
2. government initiatives: as the social and societal norms wont change themselves govt will have to step in and give some advantages to the parents for opting their girl child to study over their boys or even better providing them some financial aid so both the children can study and do well for the nation.
