When a child is born, he perceives it’s surrounding and accordingly starts forming relations. The actions and ethics of a child are reflection of it’s upbringing. Similarly to be able to improve ability to be emotionally stable requires one to notice patterns of actions since childhood. Certain habits are involuntary but impacts are mental health greatly. For example, to consider oneself not good enough for a job position. This lack of confidence hinders the desire to go out of comfort zone.
To become emotionally strong following these steps help –
1. Know about yourself – likes, dislikes, pet peeves, triggers, qualities admired in others, etc.
2. Associate this understanding with people around you – why do you like your best friend, what makes you like your parents, etc.
3. Set top 3 value systems – these value systems will work like your principles, your priorities.
Self awareness brings a strength which allows a person to be independent of other’s reaction.
Finally this exercise will reflect the kind of crowd one desires around themselves, the group one wishes to be associated with and the meaning of healthy relations.
