Cause of Olympic Winners in India Lack Basic Recognition

Infrastructure and Funding: India’s sports infrastructure and funding are severely lacking, leaving many athletes without proper support.

Cultural Priorities: Cricket dominates, eclipsing other sports and sidelining Olympic achievements.

Media Coverage: Media outlets often neglect non-cricket sports, leading to less public awareness and recognition of Olympic winners.

Support Systems: Both government and corporate support for athletes in less popular sports are inadequate, further diminishing recognition and resources for Olympic achievers.

Family support:
Almost every family in India thinks it’s not a secure future for their children. Even if parents goes with the dream of child but the society make the child and the family members feel so insecure about their future that they have to leave the dream of which they thought to be ,even having the utmost skill to bring gold at Olympics and indulge themselves in earning their daily living in a regular job due to lack of economical , social and political support from the commiunity. And this is the reason we loose a lots of to be gold medal earner for Olympics.

For athletes to receive the recognition they deserve, there must be comprehensive improvements in funding, media attention, cultural emphasis on diverse sports, and robust support systems.
