This is because education at this primary stage is mainly focussed on rote learning that is to say that students are made to learn things which are already existing and cramming things just to pass exams and score well to move on . Ok , this is all again because Parents , Teachers and Guardians also want their wards to score well in their exams as this becomes the final thing that determines their future. So , this kills the creativity and thus lack of critical thinking amongst the students in their Primary levels of education as they are not left to develope their own thinking in a creative way and to think differently.
I think students at thie Primary stages of their schooling should be left free to see things in their own different ways and infact think critically about certain things rather than summarizing things based on facts and figures which are already existing and imposed on them.
Children should be encouraged to see things differently and come up with innovative ideas and develope their own ways of reasoning and critically analyse things backed by the proper guidance of their Parents and Teachers. Focus should be to be littlle different from the old and hackneyed education system.
