Biome refers to the community of plants and animals that occur naturally in an area, often sharing common characteristics specific to that area.
Desert biomes are the driest places on Earth Only 20% of deserts have sand. Most are made up of rocks or gravel, while others are lcy.
Grasslands are regions that mostly contain low-growing plants such as grasses and wildflowers. They are usually open spaces that are fairly flat. The rainfall isn’t enough to allow trees to grow, but it isn’t dry enough to form a desert.
Aquatic biomes are the largest of all the biomes. They cover about 75% of the Earth’s surface. They can be split into two categories – marine and freshwater.
Forest biomes have one thing in common a lot of TREES.They cover around 30% of the Earth and support more animal and plant species than any other biome.
The tundra biome is Earth’s harshest and coldest blome. They are treeless regions found in the Arctic and on the top of mountains.
