Indian education system encompasses values, cultural norms, understanding of science and social science, and various languages spread across the region. At closer look, we observe that Indian classrooms have a large gap in student-teacher ratio which leads to imbalanced attention to each individual. Also with the growing demands and needs we observe diversity in classrooms regarding language, gender, cultural practices and disability (physical, mental and learning disabilities).

Impact of technology

• Catering Diversity: Diverse student needs are to be catered by the teacher by accumulating diverse learning styles in lesson planning which can be done with ease through the use of technology in classrooms. For example using reading pens, audio-video devices, digital activity boards and others. These devices aid visually impaired students and students with kinesthetic learning styles.
• Active Participation: Technology reforms the traditional education methods by making them more relatable, interesting and participatory for learners.
• Preparation for Real World: Introducing technology in teaching practices makes learners ready for the global world by relevant skills and knowledge used. For example, Accounting software like Busy, and Tally are to be added in the accountancy syllabus because in real-world manual accounting practices are being replaced by digital software.

With the hanging times, it is essential for the education system to become more flexible and incorporate technology for the advancement and betterment of learners for holistic development and achieving the goal of inclusive education.
