An attitude is a person’s overall viewpoint and it can either be positive, negative or neutral. It is a subjective assessment of a circumstance, item, or person. A person’s attitude is often influenced by events that have molded their personalities.

Based on beliefs and assessments, these attitudes are both persistent and dynamic, and they may differ greatly across people.

A person’s attitudes have a significant impact on their performance in many areas of life. A person’s attitude forms the basis of his or her personality and influences everything we do.

There are two kinds of attitude measurements: explicit and implicit.

• Explicit measurements depend on self-reports and observable actions. These methods are valuable because they enable the assessment of simple attributions of traits to groups.
• In contrast, implicit measurements are the outcome of a person’s mental connections formed during previous socialization. The automatic assessment linkages are consistent across contexts and do not alter. This makes them valuable for forecasting future behaviour.

An individual’s attitude determines how they respond to events. If someone has a bad attitude, they will express their dissatisfaction. A bad attitude will lead to major troubles in one’s life. It will be tough for them to advance in their careers.

It is critical to grasp the distinction between negative and positive attitudes. A number of variables, including a person’s social position, might impact their attitudes.
