Nature had provided everything to satisfy the needs and aspirations of the human society, but it is very unfortunate to say that our mother earth is getting the greatest threat from humans.

So, now it’s the high time not only to spread awareness but also to take a series of concerted and complementary actions to protect our environment from getting degraded because without environmental sustainability neither economic stability nor social cohesion can be achieved.

Actions to be taken by the government:

1. Government should implement and enforce policies and legislations to reduce emissions of greenhouse gases.
2. Government should invest more on renewable energy power projects as well as on research and development of new green technologies.
3. Government should implement policies for conservation of existing forests and natural reserves and also invest on afforestation in the cities.
4. Government should make proper planning for managing various types of waste from its inception to its final disposal.
5. Government should participate in international summits on climate change agreements with other countries.

Actions to be taken by the individuals:

1. We should adopt renewable energy systems for powering our homes or locality.
2. Everyone should minimize the use of private transport and adopt public transport in practice.
3. People should avoid the wastage of water.
4. Awareness programs on climate degradation must be on a practice especially in the rural areas.
