It is an age old saying that when you educate a man you are educating one person but when you educate a woman you educate a whole generation. I think this saying gives a great idea of what the reach of women’s education can be. Women when given the opportunity of education can uplift themselves. I have seen many households where women have to take responsibility for the house due to circumstances. Educated women can find significantly better work. Having an education opens doors that were previously closed for women. Prestigious positions around the world which were seen as a man’s job can be challenged. Education prepares women to face challenges posed by this world. It allows them to college the traditional roles that they have been assigned. If a woman is educated then she can change the social outlooks of others. Education empowers a woman to participate in this society, not just socially but also economically. Which education women can command higher wage positions. An educated woman can also educate the next generation to do away with this bias that the world has. It marginally shifts the status quo of women in this world.
