The educational curricula have to be rewritten. It has been plagued by misandry and gender bias for a very long time. There have always been silenced gaps and subtle poses regarding women (be it their lives or contributions). What has to be done is that the history should be rewritten. Incorporating women’s historical and contemporary contributions would be the first and foremost step to begin with. One of the crucial points to be noticed here is how the question of domestic work is constantly devalued. When it comes to the science field, there are factoids about women who made significant discoveries possible, like the women who wrote the code for black holes, that are frequently overlooked and underrepresented. Their achievements should be documented and analyzed in detail. Regarding art or literature, women’s literature should be included, like more autobiographies, memoirs, etc. More personal narratives of women should be included to counter official narratives( that are quite often patriarchal). At school levels, there should be more gender sensitivity workshops curated by women. This should be adapted to different school grades. Theories like “misandry”, “patriarchy”, and “mansplaining” should be taught to all the students. However, at the end of the day, the truth is that, in theory, they all sound nice but, in reality, are culturally challenging to disseminate. Regardless, they might be good things to include.
