-Rohini Satellite Launch Vehicle (SLV-3) (1980): India became only sixth country in the world to launch a satellite using a home-made launch vehicle placing the Rohini Satellite (RS-1) into orbit.
-Chandrayaan-1 (2008): It was India’s first lunar mission which became an essential discovery of water molecules at the lunar surface.
-Mangalyaan (2014): MOM, Mars Orbiter Mission of Indian Space Research Organisation became the first Asian country to reach Mars and the first in the world who reached Mars on the first attempt.
-Chandrayaan-3 (2023): Took the craft down safely near the south pole of the Moon to become the fourth nation in effect, to soft-land on the Moon and the first to do so near the south pole.
