Gender Discrimination impacts all aspects of a women’s life. Although it has been reduced to some extent it is still in practice in some region. Women feel discrimination at their workplace such as sexual harassment ,gender pay inequality and many more. Discrimination exists when these social norms and attitudes reflects that women should hold a subordinate position.
We often used to listen that when a women is educated the whole family is educated. But when the mental health of a women is affected , she might not be able to interact with her child which can lead to lack of overall development in her child. This overall affects the parenting of children and lowers the personality development.
Despite efforts to focus on equality, gender bias continues to create complications that can take quite a toll on women’s health condition. Sometimes ,however, they become barriers preventing women from seeking they need. Researchers have continued to focus on the differences around the kinds of mental health challenges women tend to experience most frequently.
A research have found that “women are more likely to be diagnosed with anxiety or depression”. So we have to take an ultimate initiative towards this inequality to remove discrimination in our society. we should acknowledge gender inequality and ensure that women are better supported at home and in workplaces. Therefore, we should promote diversity, equity and inclusion policies that are respectful and inclusive for all women.
